Gubkin University and Shell launched a joint educational program

On 25 October 2021, the official opening of the educational program «Process Unit Operator» was held in Torzhok, Tver Oblast, Russian Federation. The program will be offered on the basis of Torzhok State Industrial and Humanitarian College by Shell with the participation of Gubkin University faculty members.

The program is aimed at training specialists for Shell Plant in Torzhok, which is one of the largest producers of commercial oils with an annual output of about 200 million liters. Gubkin University faculty members of the Department of Chemistry and Technology of Lubricants and Chemometology and the Specialized Department of Chemmotology of Fuels and Lubricants of the Faculty of Chemical and Environmental Engineering, the Department of Industrial Safety and Environmental Protection of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, the Department of Automation of Technological Processes of the Faculty of Automation and Computer Engineering will deliver training.

Director of Torzhok State Industrial and Humanitarian College, Director of Shell Plant, Deputy Head of Torzhok City, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tver Oblast participated in the event. Professor Vladimir Koshelev, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, and Professor Boris Tonkonogov, Dean of the Faculty of Chemical and Environmental Engineering, represented Gubkin University at the official ceremony.
