During the visit, Mr. Falkov was demonstrated the necessity and importance of collaboration between leading Russian companies and scientific and educational institutions, like Gubkin University, that are considered the flagship universities of the key sectors of the economy.

“A special role in technical education is played by the practicing teachers who share their experience with students. The interdisciplinary learning organized in the Cluster will allow students to gain a clear understanding of their future work – from project activities to solving real engineering and management problems. Therefore, graduate students gain experience in the subject area during their studies, which gives a great advantage after graduation. The so called social lift is being built – young people have the opportunity to be recruited by the industry partners and become equipped and prepared specialists,” said Mr. Falkov.

In 2017, Gubkin University and PJSC LUKOIL jointed their efforts aimed at the reconstruction of the training site for the oil and gas machinery and equipment. Later, a high-contrast LED screen, teaching and amenity stationary rooms and demonstration tables for studying equipment, assemblies and parts were installed on the site. The training site enables to offer daily practical training for students and trainees of advanced training programs studying at the Faculty of Oil and Gas Field Development and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.
