All-Russian Pushkin Youth Arts Festival
On 16-20 October 2019, Gubkin University will host the XXI All-Russian Pushkin Youth Arts Festival. In 2019, the Festival will be timed to significant events related to the history of Russian culture: the 220th anniversary of the birth of Alexander Pushkin and the Year of the Theater in Russia.
Schoolchildren, undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate students, researchers and faculty members from regional and federal universities, as well as Russian and foreign citizens under the age of 35 are invited to take part in the Festival.
The goal of the Festival is to keep up and develop the traditions of Russian culture, preserve Russian literature and literary language, strengthen cultural ties, and enrich the young generation intellectually through introduction to Pushkin creativity and values of Russian culture. The Festival provides a background for the formation of a moral, spiritual and creative personality.
The Festival will be held in two stages:
- the selection competition at the university level: universities hold competitions and send winners for participation in the Festival;
- the all-Russian competition: participants come to Gubkin University to compete in various categories; winners of the Festival are determined.
The Festival program will include various competitive categories – poetry, prose, video miniature, artistic and graphic competition, photography, opera singing, pop singing, bards singing, instrumental music competition, drama, essay contest for foreign students studying in Russian universities etc.
17 October 2019 – the opening ceremony;
18 October 2019 – the rewarding ceremony and the concert of laureates;
19 October 2019 – the ball at Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, by invitation only.
