Offshore Drilling: Techniques and Activities
On 9–13 December 2019, the course of lectures "Offshore Drilling: Techniques and Activities" from Total Professeurs Associés will be held at Gubkin University. Lectures will be delivered by Professor Alphonse GRYNKO. Undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate students as well as faculty members of Gubkin University are invited to participate. The deadline for registration is 6 December 2019.
The five half-days program is intended for participants with background in petroleum engineering, drilling engineering, mechanical engineering, reservoir engineering, geology, geophysics, willing to refresh or to widen their knowledge on drilling techniques and offshore operations. The program will include an overview of drilling fundamentals and engineering tasks needed for a drilling project. It will also focus on safety aspects, offshore drilling hazards and specificities, and operations with different Mobile Offshore Drilling units. The language of instruction is English.
Upon successful completion of the test, participants will receive a certificate of completion of the course.
The lectures will be held in the auditorium ЦA-04 from 14:15 to 17:30.
The event is organized by the Department of International Affairs of Gubkin University.
Total Professeurs Associés is a not-for-profit association established in July 2001. Its goal is to build bridges between the oil industry and academic circles by delegating professors or experts who deliver technical or business-related presentations. Member professors are working or retired Total Group employees who lecture in their field of expertise.
